PROPERTY IN TURKEY

::Turkey: A Few Facts and Places::

Turkey has an incredibly rich and varied history and offers you the opportunity of owning a holiday home in this amazingly beautiful and friendly country.

The choices of what to do in Turkey are endless, you could choose to visit the numerous world ranking sites of historical interest, enjoy the hustle and bustle of the town centers with all they have to offer in clubs, restaurants or shopping or simply lie back and enjoy the glorious on average 320 days of sunshine to top up your tan and recharge your batteries.

::Some Places to Visit::

Here's just a few of the amazing day trips for visitors to Turkey, I strongly recommend you visit them.

::Ephesus::

A visit to Efes (Ephesus), once the commercial center of the ancient world, is a highlight of any visit to Turkey. The city, whose wealth and patronage supported its splendid architectural program, was dedicated to the goddess Artemis. Her enormous temple, once considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World and rebuilt several times, in its latest form dates from the third century B.C. The ruins also include a theatre, gymnasium, agora and baths, as well as the famous library of Celsus.

::Saklikent::

With a length approaching 18 km, Saklikent Gorge is the longest and deepest gorge in Turkey. At times so deep that the sun barely penetrates and the waters remain cool and refreshing even in the summer heat. The scenic approach to the gorge along rivers, mountains and through tiny rural villages is breathtaking and once there you can enjoy a tranquil lunch in one the numerous river side cafes. Take a trek through the magical gorge, enjoy a mud bath then wash it off under a cool waterfall. A highly recommended outing.

::Pamukkale::

Calcium-rich mineral springs surging over the edge of a mountain plateau for thousands of years has resulted in an intriguing and magical natural masterpiece. The rock formations of Pamukkale (‘Cotton Castle’) are a series of natural shelves and ridges, terraces that have been turned white from the solidified chalky calcium deposits left behind as the thermal waters tumble into further basins clinging to the cliff edge below. From a distance it appears to be a dazzling white fairytale castle, with a formation of tiers rising from the ground containing warm water pools. The hot springs have been used since Roman times to cure certain ailments. On the plateau is the Pamukkale Thermal enclosing the bubbling ‘sacred pool of the ancients’, the main source of the springs creating the white terraces, and its mineral waters are open for public bathing. Pamukkale is also the site of the ancient Roman spa-city of Hierapolis, and there are several ruins scattered about the area, including an impressive Roman theatre. It was considered a sacred site for its magic healing waters and was the weekend destination of kings and emperors of the Pergamum and Roman Empires.

As mentioned these are but a few of the options available and i recommend that you look at my links page to link to companies providing these and many other trips and activities such as Scuba Diving, Horse Ridding, Paragliding and so much more.
