::Some
Great Turkish Beaches::
Turkey
has some wonderful beaches to visit and you will never
be short of things to do.
On this
page we have given details of some of the beaches that we can
strongly recommend worth the a visit and some of the
many possible activities that you will find if you own a
property in Turkey or that your guests can try if you
rent out your holiday home.
::Olu
Deniz Beach::

Olu Deniz beach is said
to be Turkeys most photographed beach.
It curves its way
around a beautiful bay into it's famous Blue Lagoon.
If you take the time to
find your way around the bay you will be rewarded by the
calm waters of the lagoon which is very popular with
families with young children as the water nearly always
resembles the calmness of a mill pond.
Along the beach front
and surrounding streets of Olu Deniz you will find a
great selection of restaurants, bars, shops and hotels
with a relaxed and trendy atmosphere.
Lie back
stare at the sky, enjoy the sun and watch the clear blue
skies fill with rookie Para-Gliders on their first tandem
jump from Mount Babadag.
::Butterfly
Valley::

Butterfly Valley is a great stop on
one of the many boat trips that leave the local coastal
resorts of Olu Deniz and Fethiye.
For many years known as a destination
for "back packers" looking for incredibly
cheep accommodation in the area, i understand it has
seen many a great party night on the beach over the
years.
When you step of your boat you tend to
stay there for about half an hour and many visitors take
a walk up through the valley or the slightly lazier
amongst us have a drink at it's 1 bar/restaurant, go in
for a dip in the clear turquoise sea or lay back and
enjoy the sun on this secluded pebble beach.
::Iztuzu
Beach::

Iztuzu Beach is generally
known as Turtle Beach because of the Loggerhead
Turtles which use the beach to lay their eggs.
This secluded beach is
best visited by taking a day trip from nearby Dalyan where
you will be taken by boat through narrow reed filled
lanes and stop at the Mud Bath were it is claimed you
can wash away the wrinkles of time.
Then travel onwards and
look closely at the rock faces that rise from the banks
of the lake and you will see the ancient rock tombs of
The Lycian's that date from the 5th century BC.
The beach itself
is a narrow sand bank that has no protection from the
scorching sun and we strongly recommend you do not attempt
to walk bare foot on the sand as it gets very hot
indeed.
::Calis
Beach::

Calis Beach is famed
for it's stunning sunsets and is approximately
4 miles from the popular harbor town of Fethiye.
The beach runs for
over 2.5 miles and you will find a varied mixture of
shops, bars, restaurants and hotels along the beach front road.
The area has become
very popular with UK and Irish buyers to purchase their very own Property
in Turkey.
Why not jump on a local bus (Dolmus)
or Boat Taxi and travel to nearby Fethiye and sample all
of the delights of this vibrant town.
::Gemiler
Beach::

Gemiler Beach is a
small secluded, and un commercialized bay just down the
coast from Olu Deniz.
It's a great place to
visit if you are staying at the nearby resorts of
Hisaronu, Ovacik or Olu Deniz and is best reached by
jumping on a local bus (Dolmus) and heading via Kaya Koy
which is a great place to visit if you love
to walk.
Whilst at Gemiler Beach
ask
for the "canvas top" restaurant that is owned
and run by Ilka and his family for the greatest home
made chips you have ever tasted that are cooked over a
sand pit and log fire.
When you leave Gemiler
stop off at Kaya Koy at "Muzzy,s Place" where you can have
a drink, something to eat and a dip in the pool at the
rear of the restaurant in the company of Muzzy and the
team.
The foods great
and the atmosphere is true Turkish relaxation.
::Patara
Beach::
What can we say about
Patara Beach?
We simply love it, it
was voted by The Sunday Times as the best beach in the
world and whilst I am sure this is pushing it a bit this
is truly a spectacular place.
I recommend that you
visit this remote beach by taking one of the Jeep Safari
day trips available in the area as you will benefit from
a visit en route to the spectacular gorge at Saklikent,
but be warned you will no doubt get rather wet on your
journey as the local's love to hose the jeeps down as
you pass the restaurants and shops and whilst this a bit
of a shock initially you soon find that it is very
refreshing in the midday sun, a great fun day out for all the
family.
On a recent visit
to Patara I fell in love with its Dunes, lack of crowds
and the sense of peace that you feel when you visit,
just stand back and enjoy the feeling.
I hope you have found
this information of help and enjoyed them as they are
written from the heart and I hope
that this shows how much we at One Stop Turkish
Property Shop truly love Turkey, its culture and its people.
